Retired from the National Education, Philippe is director of the National Nature Reserve of the Seven Islands, editing director of L’Oiseau Magazine and Vice-President of the French Coastal Conservatory. He is a founding member of the Mayotte Bird Study and Protection Group (GEPOMAY) and an expert of the French Committee of the IUCN. He is also part of the International Ornithological Film Festival (FIFO) of Ménigoute.
